Titus
2:11-13
For
the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live
soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and
our Savior Jesus Christ;
When
we were young, my parents enrolled us in Bible Memory Association’s scripture memorization
program. My sister Carol and I would
make up little tunes to help us remember our verses.
Have
you ever noticed how easy it is to recall song lyrics that you haven’t heard in
years or all the little commercial jingles?
King David set his Psalms to music.
I enjoy writing music for scripture.
I
was memorizing the above verses and a tune starting forming in my head. It made it much easier to remember the verse.
The
Grace of God
The
grace of God that bringeth salvation
Has
appeared, has appeared
The
grace of God that bringeth salvation
Has
appeared to all men.
Teaching
us how we should live each day for Him,
In
this present world
Denying
ungodliness and worldly lusts,
In
this present world.
We
should live soberly every day
All
for Him, all for Him.
Living
righteously, and Godly, too
That
is what we will do.
Looking
for that blessed hope and the
Glorious
appearing
of
the great God and our
Savior
Jesus Christ.
So
let us live for our dear Savior,
Feed
on His Word, and trust Him as Lord.
So
let us live for our dear Savior,
Live
every day all for Him.
