My Everything

Acts 17:28a
For in Him we live, and move, and have our being…

I remember writing a paper on communism when I was in high school.  I remember ending it with something like this:
You take away my home and church but I am still a person; you take away my country but I am still a human being; you take away my God and I am nothing.

He is my everything!

My Everything

(Refrain)
Jesus, my God and King, You are my everything.
Jesus, my God and King, You are my everything.

You are mighty, You are righteous,
Savior over sin victorious.

You are Holy, You are loving,
You are changeless and forgiving.

You are my rock, You are my shield,
All of myself to You I yield.

I will love You, I will praise You,
I will serve You and adore You.

(refrain)
Jesus, my God and King, You are my everything.
Jesus, my God and King, You are my everything.

Let This Mind Be In You

I love it when scripture is set to music.  Philippians 2:5-11 has long been a favorite passage of mine and I wanted to make it into a song.  Oh that we would humble ourselves and be obedient to the Father in all things.  I look forward to that day when at His feet we will bow and confess that He is Lord!

Philippians 2:5-11
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Let This Mind Be in You

Let this mind be in you, let this mind be in you
Which was also in Christ Jesus.
He gave up His all to obey the Father’s call
So let this mind be in you.

So He gave up His throne and His Heavenly home
He’s the humble King Christ Jesus.
Although He was God He became like as a man
In the form of a servant.

Then He humbled Himself and He hung on the cross.
He became obedient to death.
Wherefore our God has so highly exalted Him
With a name above all names.

Chorus:
And every knee shall bow at the precious name of Jesus,
And every tongue confess that He is Lord
To the Glory of the Father.
